Fall Ball
Last updated August 6, 2026
Fall Ball is instructional baseball. Section 1 teams are for those boys that are experienced at that level. Section 2 are for those boys moving up to the new levels (in theory).
No rosters are required for Fall Ball. Both bat standards are used for Fall Ball.
Dates
- Start of season is the Saturday after Labor Day Weekend.
- End of season is the 3rd weekend in October, per the Fall Ball information sheet.
- The FAQ page states fall ball ends the 2nd weekend in October, and that teams can play after that weekend if both coaches agree. The league should confirm which is correct.
- Some clubs have rescheduled games after the season ended. This is OK.
Fall Ball meeting
The Fall Ball meeting is held at Penn Medicine Park starting at 7:00 PM. This meeting is only mandatory if you are going to participate in the Fall Ball program. The general membership meeting is in September.

Umpire fee is $55 per team. One team pays the umpire for the first game and the other team pays the umpire for the second game. Some clubs have requested a second umpire. Those clubs requesting the second umpire will pay the second umpire too.
Due at the meeting
- Team entries with the level of play and field location (field form), one per team.
- Proof of insurance for those clubs that did not participate in LCYBL during the Spring, listing LCYBL on the policy as "Additional Insured".
- Registration fee (above).
Format and scheduling
- Games are double headers, played on Saturdays and Sundays, generally starting at 1pm with no new inning after 4pm.
- If there is an odd number of teams there could be triple headers, or teams may have a week off. In a triple header the home team plays the 1st and 3rd game, and games are scheduled at 1pm, 2:30pm and 4pm.
- No records or standings are kept. There are no playoffs.
- Schedules are on Arbiter and not on the website.
- Rescheduled games are handled by the League President. See the Contact page.
Age
Fall ball age is the following spring's season age. The current age chart is in the League Documents section.
